Very badly wounded
In an attempt to prove I'm alive, I suppose I should post something. I've got a seasonal bout of SARS right now, but the combination of DayQuil and orange juice is proving to be effective at getting rid of it. I should be back to nearly full strength come Monday.
My geocache finding rate has dropped almost
as drastically as the Dow Jones. I've only found 22 in two months. That's horrible. I've found 23 in a day before. And last September, I found over 80. So what's my excuse? I don't know. The lack of a clearly defined goal, I guess. A desire to save gas money. Wanting to do other things. Maybe all three. I really wanted to make up for it this weekend, but the sickness inside me is forcing me to stay indoors and play video games all day. Not that that is bad thing, either. I started up
Diablo II again because Brownie loves the game, and Antonio and I have been playing another free
MMORPG called
Shaiya.
After the pool league ended, they tried to start up a new league but it failed due to lack of interest. However,
McCue's does have a league that plays on Tuesdays, so myself and a couple other work associates decided to do that. We're about four weeks into it. We're getting beat pretty hard, which is amusing because my team consists of some of the better pool players from the work league. It feels a lot more competitive than the work league. I think it's safe to say that my game will improve by playing these better players.
Why the fuck do I hear the ice cream driving down the street? It's 50 degrees out. And it's October.
I'll probably be moving on January 1. It's possible that it will be December 1, but January seems a lot more likely. I want more space and Brown wants to save money, so it's a win-win for both of us.
The nature of my job is that I'm typically looking four, six, or eight weeks into the future, so I'm already into Thanksgiving mode and almost thinking about Christmas. I'm already conjuring up ideas as to what to get for presents. Yuck.
My sister's son will be 11 on Tuesday. That also means I started college 11 years ago. Where has the time gone?
